"Christina approaches her clients and therapy with curiosity and compassion. Her warmth and directness made me feel very comfortable, and I felt heard and validated. I would recommend Christina to anyone looking to learn more about themselves, to heal from their trauma, and become more connected to their bodies. "

"I began therapy with Christina during COVID. Like many of us I was struggling being isolated from other people. I was also struggling with trauma responses that were invading my everyday life long after the traumatic events had ended. With each session Christina not only allowed me to reconnect with other humans during isolation, she also provided tools and exercises to practice when I became overwhelmed. What I have found to be most helpful when working with Christina is that she focuses on somatic responses and experiences. She encouraged me to listen to what my body tells me. This mindfulness practice has been pivotal in my trauma recovery, how I have reconnected socially since COVID, and how I approach new stressors in life. Now, I can identify when my trauma responses surface, explore where they came from and how they are no longer needed in my present environment. Additionally, I am neurodivergent and struggle with change. Christina has helped me through multiple life changes encouraging me to center excitement for the next stage of my life rather than fear, all while returning me to the somatic experience of my body and how best to support myself given those somatic messages I am receiving. I confidently say that Christina's sessions are a safe space for anyone to explore the complex nature of being human, and they will be compassionately supported along the way."

"My time with Christina has been immensely helpful in my own healing journey. I sought her out after several years of talk therapy where I ended up stuck in my own story. Christina’s body awareness and her invitation to slow down was a breath of fresh air. She has invited me toward more compassion for myself and my experiences while challenging my interpretation of my narrative, teaching my along the way how to ground my body and my energy. My journey with self-abandonment has been a challenging one

but her invitation to self-attune has been transformative. I have also appreciated her

ability to evolve her practice with openness and curiosity. Amongst many nuggets of

wisdom, the quote that I have taken with me into my personal and professional life is, 'It is always within your scope of practice to be a human being.'"

"I have been seeing Christina for just over two years and my experience has been very positive. Christina has balanced professionalism and kindness in helping me work to overcome my fears and become a more confident and fulfilled human. She has consistently made helpful suggestions for coping skills and techniques, reading and video resources, and community resources to enhance/supplement the therapy and it’s not lost on me that she has offered them multiple times in multiple ways over the past two years which is a testament to her patience and skills as a therapist. She offers a safe and supportive environment where I feel respected and safe to freely express myself. I highly recommend Christina to anyone searching for a knowledgeable, caring therapist who can help them navigate the way to improved mental health and overall well-being."

"I have been seeing Christina Finlo for about 10 months now. She has helped me make tremendous progress with the issues I am dealing with.

She has many qualities that make her easy to talk to and to trust. She is very patient, blunt without ever being unkind, and smart as hell. She has a very calming demeanor. Sometimes she gently pushes me to try things that I may be a bit resistant to. If something doesn’t work, she just tries a different avenue.

I was referred to her by a family member, and will not hesitate to recommend her myself. I look forward to continuing to work with her."

"Christina has helped me immensely with my personal growth.  She has helped me identify my archetypes/parts which has allowed me to do the deep dive work and get in touch with my inner self. This has allowed me to heal past trauma, deal with family member issues and has even helped me with my social anxiety.

She has this incredible ability to help me see options when I’m faced with any kind of situation.  I have learned to trust myself and my judgment again which is very freeing and empowering.

She has such a vast knowledge of books and documentaries which she has recommended that relate to whatever I’m working on.  This has helped me with my growth and being able to understand why I do what I do, where it’s coming from, etc.

I really like that she works from her home.  Her home office is so inviting, private and truly a safe space for me.  I honestly look forward to my visits with her to see what insights she can give me to help me do the deep dive work for further healing.  It is an absolute blessing that I get to work with her."

"Working with Christina has brought safety and trust into my life. I am an agoraphobic who lives in constant fear and barely leaves my house. Within months her ability to combine many types of therapy has empowered me to feel actual peace inside my soul. For the past two years I have been able to go to a new environment at Christina's office and find the safety and trust I need to work on my issues. Most importantly, I know I have a place to go and heal every week."

"Christina Finlo is an experienced professional with great listening skills. Her authentic interest in her clients, coupled with a holistic approach, provide a safe environment for the client to heal and grow. While she prefers a gentle but witty approach, she is not afraid to buckle-down and let her clients know what needs to be done in order for them to move forward in life. She excels in helping patients identify the patterns that constitute who they are, then shows them the power of recognizing those patterns in action. She is a great guide for that most difficult subject we all must tackle: how to live with ourselves."

"I first encountered Christina Finlo during a time of existential crisis in my life about five years ago.  It appeared that my entire identity was collapsing, for reasons that I could not comprehend at the time.  As my therapist, Ms. Finlo served as a steadying hand and source  of wisdom and support during this often terrifying time.  She was my "safe place," and when I eventually came out as transgender, became my first and primary support as well.  Suffice it to say, she was the perfect professional to have in my corner during a very confusing time, when I did not yet understand what was happening or why.  She had a light touch, always avoiding any influence on the direction of my journey, but giving me the support I needed to get to the next step.  Anyone finding him or her-self in a confusing or scary period in life would do well to benefit from her wisdom, compassion and kindness.  I certainly have."

"I had been searching for a therapist who is straightforward and candid, someone who tells me what I need to hear. What I appreciate most about her, besides her ability to be frank, Is the somatic work we have done together. She holds space for me when I need to feel through deep core emotions. She guides me back into my body to focus on sensations and away from “story lines” in my mind (that I tend to get carried away in). She’s helped me to see things and take actions from a more pragmatic place and less solely based on emotions.  She helps me move to a more rational and realistic “big picture” perspective. She has also been very patient, allowing me to set my own pace for healing."
